Tygerrs Lair

Can someone please tell me the correct method of applying MAC’s pigments?? Every time I try and use them they are too light and barely show up. Is it a special brush I need to use or what?? I do have the MAC line of brushes, just in case. Thank you in advance to who ever can answer this!
